We have been organising events for more than 20 years at Sophie Kors, and in all these years we have organised weddings in a wide variety of styles.
We always try to travel to London, Milan or Paris once a year to get all the information on new trends in the bridal sector and especially to find out about the up and coming styles that are going to be fashionable in the coming year.
Wedding styles vary a lot, and when 15 years ago the trend was a for tons of candles and just a few flowers, now the opposite is true, and flowers have taken on a much bigger role. We’ve gone from organising weddings where food was given a major priority, to events where details and decoration also became important factors.
We have organised vintage-style weddings, with stripped furniture, soft, gentle tones, where white predominates over all others. Romantic, retro environments where the key is mixing features from past decades, but never in excess.
We have also planned many weddings with a country feel to them. We are lucky to live in an area surrounded by wonderful, traditional farmhouses, and we always recommend that decoration should be coherent with the chosen venue.
And given that the Sophie Kors’ team loves to mix things up a bit, we could say that we’ve developed this country style into what we call “boho-chic”, a wedding look that combines a country feel with bohemian, Navajo and even hippy touches.
We love to organise weddings where romance is given priority, where elegance takes precedence over all other factors: chandeliers with thousands of crystals hanging from the trees, brides dressed as princesses, touches of sophistication and classicism mixed with modern decoration.
