{"id":5066,"date":"2020-03-09T09:10:25","date_gmt":"2020-03-09T08:10:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sophiekorsweddings.com\/en\/?p=5066"},"modified":"2020-03-09T09:13:35","modified_gmt":"2020-03-09T08:13:35","slug":"baby-showers-and-baptisms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sophiekorsweddings.com\/en\/baby-showers-and-baptisms\/","title":{"rendered":"Baby Showers and Baptisms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the most wonderful things in our profession as <strong>wedding planners<\/strong> is that after having organised a wedding, our clients call us again to organise the party for the baby they are expecting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We love baby showers because<\/strong>, to start with, we already know the person who is going to be a mother, since we experienced the whole process of organising her wedding with her, which means we are delighted when asked <strong>to organise an event for the baby on the way<\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This party is organised near the end of pregnancy, and we usually organise it at the home of the future parents, or in an area chosen for the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>The mother-to-be\u2019s family and friends get together <strong>to help her prepare for the baby&#8217;s arrival<\/strong>, when they present her with gifts and good advice. This party also helps to prevent a crowded hospital ward when the baby is born, as sometimes mums need to be calm and rested and a lot of bedside visits do little to help!<\/p>\n<p>Knowing the baby\u2019s gender can really help us with decorating, when choosing the colour palettes. We always use pastel ranges and obviously blue or pink are very popular, although we do not usually use dark or harsh colours.<\/p>\n<p>We usually organise snacks made up of sweet and savoury items served by a trusted catering company, but the real centrepiece in the organisation of these parties is our pastry chef who does amazing things with cakes, cupcakes or other sweet dishes!<\/p>\n<p>A baby shower is an enchanting moment and a wonderful memory for an entire lifetime.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the most wonderful things in our profession as wedding planners is that after having organised a wedding, our clients call us again to organise the party for the baby they are expecting.
